Halloween 2009!!!

So now you can see the proof that I have been doing a bit of sewing... the pirate costumes were a huge hit with the boys for Halloween!!! Super fun & easy to make and now they have durable pirate dress-up clothes that will keep them warm into the spring... : ) Let me know if you want to know how to make these & I will walk you through the steps!

These are a few items that I've worked on for the fall...

Biggest problem is that I am having a bit of a love affair with Facebook & neglecting my BLOG!!!

That & the fact that the boys are in the same room now & bedtime is much tougher & takes

For-ev-EEEEEEEEER!!!

In fact, haven't even been sewing (well, not for Pink Baby & Pancho, but have whipped out a few covers for Mother's Day Out & some items for friends/family). Also, have one last piece of custom artwork I am trying to get done!

I can't believe that for the most part, summer is over!!!

Where did the time go?

Before I know it, it will be Halloween & then Christmas... I'd better start planning ahead & get to making some gifts!

3 Aprons for Thursday!!!

As promised, the pics of the 3 aprons I made yesterday... They will fit 3 years to 6 years!

One is already reserved, so if you want one, let me know ASAP! So tired from swimming today, that there will be no sewing tonight... :( Kind of bummed, but ready for some shut eye! The boys were exhausted as well and went down with ZERO trouble!!!

Crazy summer!

We've been having a great summer! We've been to Sea World 3 times in the last week!!!
And I am still sewing like crazy!!! My goal is to create one new item per day... Wish me luck!
I actually made 3 aprons today(I'll try to post tomorrow) after we got back from Sea World at 3PM!!!
Just in case you were wondering, yes, the house is a mess!!! :)

Catching you up!!!

So, I haven't blogged in forever!!!
I guess I've gotten too caught up in the fun of summer, Facebook & sewing!!!
Derek finished T-ball (thank goodness) back at the end of May... Hopefully next year will have less moments of digging in the dirt at the pitcher's mound!!!

We've been having a very active summer!!! Derek is in swim lessons & loves to swim!
We go to Nana & Papa's pool almost everyday afterwards & the boys have a blast!!!
What else is there to do when it is 105 degrees out?!?!?



Oh yes... Fish! We tried taking the boys fishing in Poteet in the heat... it didn't last long!
There isn't much water in the tank & any fish that are left are trying to bury themselves down as far as they can go... Praying for lots of RAIN!!! Where is a hurricane when you need it?

I am wondering if I should have a blog just for the site... I've seen lots of other great ones!!!

Something to consider, but I need more blogging experience to get it right!

That, & a great photographer!!! I'll put it in the back of my mind to let it stew for a bit!

Also, Dax turned 2 on Saturday!!! It was a blast... probably the most fun I've had at a party in forever (it is amazing what being prepared does)! He had a great time & now wants CAKE everyday!!! His vocabulary is just growing & growing... Since we got our new dog, Pepper, on Mother's day weekend, he has started to really talk. Now, he is putting a couple of words together to make sentences... Super cute & sweet!

So, Derek has been pretty funny lately...

• He thinks I can sew anything! The other day he asked me to sew him a park bench so we could have a picnic & then sometime this week asked me to sew him a Mach 5. SEW cute!


• He talks like YODA alot.... like, "the light on I would like"

He had his first T-ball game today... Super fun! He hustled his little tush off last night at practice & was a bit overwhelmed with figuring out how to run the bases today. He did great though... It was really sweet when he got upset that some other kid caught the ball instead of him, but when he caught his first ground ball and threw it to 1st base, he was sooooooo proud of himself! Glad we signed him up!!! :)

Dax is super sweet as always and is saying more words... "Ball" is one of his favorites. He also has decided that bedtime no longer applies to him and will remain awake for several hours after we put him down... Really, do we need Daylight Savings Time?

& now bag number 2.... A customer asked if I could create a bag to match and diapers & wipes bag & bib set I have. Here it is! Move over Vera Bradley!!! I am having a ton of fun... :)

The boys are getting more & more fun as well... Though we had a major meltdown at Target tonight, Derek is really starting to listen more & makes up the neatest stories. Dax comes up & grabs your hand to take you places, makes every animal sound imaginable, loves to "shush" you, and thinks he is super funny! I love being their MOM!!!

My new fabric... & my new bags!

For those of you who don't know, I have a slight (read: MAJOR) fabric obsession!!!
I ordered some really cute fabrics on etsy.com from materialgirlshoppe.etsy.com.
As soon as I got them, I had to start sewing!!!
